SHAKE IT LIKE A POLAROID PICTURE

it was really hard for me to find a proper scarf this past winter. i didn't want one that remotely reminded me of the keffiyeh with tassels getting in and around my mouth. nor did i want to get suffocated with the season's trend du jour the circle scarf. so basically i froze my neck off. if only i knew, or lets be more honest, if only i could afford philippe roucou's polaroid print scarves from his objets trouves line i might have enjoyed winter a little more. "might have" being the operative word.

PHILIP SPARKS FW2010

i'm a ginormous fan of philip sparks. toronto may not be known as a fashion capital but everytime i see his show i get bitten with a little bit of hometown pride. there's not that many canadian designers who has the bloke's taste level. and he always has an amazing story behind every collection that really helps develop the brand's identity. this season he was inspired by the great white whale herman melville liked to call moby dick. hence the very obvious nautical theme running through the collection. unfortunately i wasn't in town to witness in person spark's maritime adventure. i was actually literally in an ocean at that time on the other side of the world below the equator getting my tan on.

ROOTS

apologies for not being MIA for the past month. i know it was fashion month and all and i should've been giving some blog lovin', but i was too busy making out with beach, eating the equivalent of my whole body weight per meal, drinking really cheap beer and smoking loads of marlboro lights. yes after a whole fat decade i went back to the motherland and enjoyed three whole weeks full of party bonanzas! but now that i'm finally back home where the sun seemed to have followed me and scared the canadian winter away i promise to get this new blog o' mine rollin. its not like i have a job or anything right now. so any of y'all wanna give me a job or just want to give me money...holla atcha boy!
